My boss and I painted our office today, turning two short walls into a pale lavender color and the long wall into something that started as eggplant but shifted into a slightly grapier color today. The many remaining walls (we have an oddly-shaped office) remain white.
People kept popping their heads in and saying, "Oh! Purple!" in dubious tones, but we both think it looks good. We were going to go with a pretty blue, but my boss was afraid it would be a little too relaxing, and then we contemplated and discarded a green bell pepper color, but finally settled on these two. Plus, we're going to go to the student and professor print sale and see if we can score some good art for the walls, since we were planning on going anyway. And one can always have more art. The sale is apparently a mob scene, with people hoarding the most coveted prints and prices ranging from a few bucks to several hundred dollars, and I am looking forward to it with great glee. Er, despite the fact that I have much unframed art, and not enough wall space to hang the stuff I do have, including the eighty bajillion collage/decoupage pieces I do when I'm stressed. Someday I should post photos of those. Someday when I have a FRICKIN DIGITAL CAMERA ALREADY.
Anyway, purple!

Have a great weekend....Kate-h
