I just bought a couple of books to start after I'm done with my Lies Sleeping reread. Well, a few new books on Kindle, but I also have a stack of John D. MacDonalds from the library book sale, and a copy of Ancilary Justice that I keep forgetting is lying around. The ones I got just now are My Oxford Year and The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle.

Oookay, just looking at my Kindle I have a stack of unread books there, too. It's the psychological security of always having something to read? Sorry I haven't gotten to you yet, Bloodline by Claudia Gray, Under the Pendulum Sun, Her Royal Spyness and Raven Boys. Plus probably more I didn't scroll down far enough to see.

I have Her Royal Spyness on my TBR pile too - it looks like fun.

It does! And if it is, I just looked and there are a bunch of followups. It's a time period I love so fingers crossed.

YES. I fell in love with the Travis McGees first and have been steadily finding the others here and there at booksales and stuff. (I still need to get my hands on the Girl, The Gold Watch, and Everything.)

They're, ahem, frequently problematic faves, but I reread them really frequently.

My plan for . . . however long I can keep this up is that for every book I buy, I have to read two that are in my TBR pile, or if I go a month without purchasing a book, I can purchase one. There's already a ton of corollaries to this, so it's probably going to collapse under its own logistical weight. (library books don't count as either owned or purchased, getting books for free counts as already purchased, I can buy books on deep discount if the deep discount has an obvious end date, graphic novels get their own list. . .)

But I also loved the Raven Boys when I read it. All the Crooked Saints is on my wishlist.

It's a very solid plan! I hope it lasts long enough to make a dent in the pile.

I keep stumbling across Raven Boys fandom everywhere, and got a sample and was so much more charmed than I thought I'd be. I'm excited to get back to it.
