Everyone should post their ten most CRUCIAL CRUCIAL CRUCIAL-ASS movies, like the movies that explain everything about yourselves in your current incarnations (not necessarily your ten favorite movies but the ten movies that you, as a person existing currently, feel would help people get to know you) (they can change later on obviously).

Of course as soon as I posted this I thought of thirty more movies. How did I not get a Branagh on there, either Henry V or Much Ado? What about my favorite musicals and thirties screwball comedies.

That's always the problem with these -- I could easily go on forever! Singin' in the Rain and Labyrinth could have made my list, plus Much Ado about Nothing.

I did my own version, but it wound up being a huge and ungainly version of "movies I like a lot," so I didn't post it.

Ladyhawke and Grosse Pointe Blank would both be on mine. Which could easily boil down to "movies I have used quotes from to carry on entire conversations."

Hahaha, it's so true. I'm glad to find another Grosse Pointe Blank person. A writer I love had a podcast where she talked about different movies and how they were written and used Grosse Pointe Blank about a great example of a romance that also handled the action stuff well. There are multiple movies about hitmen in love, which is interesting.
