That's really nicely done. I like it.

I have no talent in this area whatsoever, so I'm always a little jealous of people who do have an artistic bent.

Heh, thanks. I have absolutely no art training beyond a couple of classes in school (and one neighbor lady who taught classes out of her basement one summer, which every parent sent their kids to to get them out of their hair) but I enjoy futzing around. These were done using a kid's watercolor set and the back pages of a freebee notebook that I dug up somewhere. If you make things colorful and splashy, you can hide the fact that you can't draw for beans *g*

I love this! It looks like you had *fun* making it.

I have no art training, but this spring I started keeping an "art journal", messing around with different techniques I read about online or in books. I would love to be able to do something like this, just capture a place and time with a few brushstrokes. Thanks for sharing it!

I had a ton of fun making it. And you can do it quietly, too - a little cup of water, some napkins, and you can sit nearly anywhere and play around.

Your art journal sounds like a lot of fun! I may steal that idea - lord knows I have enough blank books to try things in.
