It has not been the best morning

Got up at five am, and made it out the door in relatively good time for our flight. We're toodling along the highway when we see flashing lights ahead, and discover that a semi on fire has caused the highway to be closed, detouring us along a parallel route. We make it to the airport about three minutes too late to check in, but we've been rescheduled and will still get to DC today, just in the evening instead of the afternoon.

And then I wander into the bathroom and discover that my period has snuck up on me, without the usual warning signs. So a favorite pair of underwear has just been relegated to the trash bins of Epperly Airfield, because I am NOT giving the TSA something that exciting to encounter when my bags get searched.

Didn't get much sleep last night, and am consequently feeling very strange indeed. Feh.
