I feel like I should have things to say, but then I sit down and try to think of actually writing something down and realize I've got nothing. Work is busy, I haven't done my taxes yet, and nobody has responded to the brief podcast I did for my upcoming exhibition by saying, "You got everything wrong!" which is what my paranoid nature expects to happen every time I say something in public.

So. Um.

The weather is lovely, I've just made Swedish meatballs and egg noodles, we're going back to the gym tonight (a pound and a half away from thirty pounds lost) and we saw two adorable kittens up for adoption at the Petsmart today, and had to run before we lost our heads and took them home.

And that's about all there is.

30 pounds??? I am amazed. I had to fight to lose 15 so hard a few years ago when my BP rose. Great job! Any particular tips?

Hee! Well, I guess I have some help - the Metformin I'm on does a couple of things to help make the weight loss a bit easier. (It's prescribed for other things - a friend of mine takes it for PCOS and I think it had a similar effect on her. I think some people even get it prescribed to them to help with weight loss, but I could be wrong about that.)

Other than that, just going to the gym pretty regularly, eating breakfast (I used to skip it and then get so hungry for lunch that I'd eat more than I should) and really reducing my portion sizes.

Sounds great. I had been seeing a nutritionist, which really helped, but then our schedules conflicted when I started work at the PMA. When my belly got paralyzed, the mostly-starch diet did not do much to help! But I think I am on a good track again. Keep it up! You're kicking major butt.
