Travels with Hubert

Hubert the little black netbook has had his first real outing today - and what I mean by that is the first outing where I've been able to access wi-fi, which is here at the laundromat. It's made the time go by a lot quicker. I'm finding that using his small (but not miniscule) keyboard is not so hard. My speed is slower, and I do make a few more typos, but I'm not pecking away like I would have had to do on some of the truly tiny models.

Off to fold some sheets.

My pink Blackberry is coming tomorrow! I'm giddy. I should name her! Hmmm...I can't compete with Nurple, I'm afraid.

Yay, wee pink Blackberry! Yes, she needs a name. Uh, don't name her Nipple, that's not appropriately sassy.

Let's see...my flash drive is Lorenzo (after Il Magnifico), my netbook is Hubert (after a chef) and my shuffle is named Nurple (for its colour). I don't seem to have a theme at work here.

Nipple! *snort* That is really funny. And...rather tempting. But I shall resist. I'm thinking Anjelica. A girlie name for a very girlie piece of equipment. Unless I can't get it to work, then it'll be more like, 'Stupid Blackberry'. Or 'stupid Verizon for not supporting iPhone'.
