Library haul! I trucked home these books:
1066 And All That
That Summer in Paris
Arsenic Under the Elms: Murder in Victorian New Haven
Christopher Marlowe: Poet and Spy
Poisoned LIves: English Poisoners and their Victims
The Saintly Politics of Catherine of Siena(one of my thesis books, but I want a reread)
Wonderful Blood: Theology and Practice in Late Medieval Northern Germany and Beyond (this is Caroline Walker Bynum. I was also going to pick up Jesus as Mother but it wasn't on the shelf where it was supposed to be.
Also spent a gift certificate, buying book three and preordering book four of the Inspector Chen books, and I also picked up a copy of Gift of Fear since I see references to the thing everywhere and want to read it for myself.

She was letting me write? imaginatively? In history class?? I wrote that I'd go back to ancient Greece as a 6 ft. tall, athletic blond (stop it) and she wrote, "Wow!" on my paper. I still remember that wow. :)
Anyway....:D
