For the feets

I took a plunge and actually bought myself two pairs of shoes. I've been switching back and forth between flipflops and the same pair of tennis shoes and leather laceups. The tennis shoes were a cheapie Target buy, and the laceups have done valiant duty but are likely heading towards the end of their usable life. So I bought a pair of Mary-Janes and some sandal/wedgeish kind of things that look comfy and useful for both skirts and jeans, and we'll see how they fit when they arrive.
My feet are super wide, y'all. Shoe shopping has never been fun for me. Zappos does make life easier.
Finished up my mini-Heyer binge, and enjoyed all three very muchly, although I don't think any of them are quite as awesome as the top-shelf Heyers. Although Cousin Kate, the Gothic one, had a lot of stuff that pushed buttons for me, including a riotously happy ending that made me grin throughout.
Now reading Sayers' letters volume 3, O'Brian's Desolation Island, and Bujold's Memory.
