Remember how angry I was at how much Nebraska cost when it came to registering our car? I had the same thing with the vet today, except it was totally the opposite. Three cats, two vaccines each, a total of $121. Apparently the distemper vac is free with the exam, which is miles cheaper than in VA, and there's a discount on exams for every animal after the first one.

Wow. I am so happy. I was really worried about spending this money, and I spent way less that I thought I would have to. All the kitties are up to date, and I love our new vet.

That's pretty amazing. Mia's latest trip (check up, distemper, and rabies booster) was $84. And she apparently needs to have her teeth cleaned for another $200. Yay.

Yeah, Gracie needs her teeth cleaned. They're running a 20% dental special for the next two months, but with my surgery and all, I'm not sure I'll be able to swing it.

The vet suspects Gracie is older than we thought - we had her figured at about 10, the doctor things perhaps 12. Not just her teeth - she's showing the slightest hint of cataracts.

And unsurprisingly, my other two cats are on the chubby side. I think Kit would eat all day if I let her, and while Dexter doesn't seem to spend much time at the food bowl, he is probably chunky because he doesn't do much besides sleep behind the sofa.
