Irritating carelessness

Arrgh. I was poking around with the icons I just posted and have discovered, yet again, that they're a little too large, file-size-wise. I do that all the time when I'm in a rush, or playing with them at lunch, or whatever...I get careless and don't check. So I apologize, and if you can't resixe them yourself I'll try to get them resized as soon as I am able to be upright before the computer again.

So, tomorrow morning I get wheeled in for the surgery. I'm a little edgy, a little keyed-up, but I think I'll be fine. It's just so much bother. And nobody wants to think about the fact that they'll be in pain for the next few days. Plus, as I've complained about ad nauseum, I hate the fact that all of my carefully nurtured little savings account will be emptied out for this, and it won't be enough. I'll still have to make payments. Makes me want to bite.

But I have Dorothy L. Sayers' letters (volume 4) and Elizabeth Gaskell's Cranford and plenty of stuff on Nurple, my iPod shuffle, to keep me occupied.

Good luck with the surgery! Since my last one was only 5 months ago (albeit for The Best Reason Ever), you've got all my empathy...even when they're definitely worth doing, just What A Nightmare. I'm glad you've got good reading material to see you through!
