Five random things make a post

- Bemo has made more money playing with his current band than he has with any of his previous ones. This is despite the fact that it's the worst, assemblage-of-talent speaking, than any of his previous bands. His band earnings may get us through this dismal month.

- Illegal fireworks here go far beyond the ones I ever saw in Virginia. They are hardcore. And judging from two fireworks that didn't make it quite as far into the air as they should have before they went off yesterday at the block party we attended, the possibility of mayhem may be ever so delightfully high!

- Today I went to Lane Bryant and put on and fastened a pair of size 14 pants with no straining, pulling, or tugging. It has been a very, very long time since I wore a size 14. However, this did nothing to stop me staring at my reflection while chugging away on the elliptical, and feeling that I still look like a complete pudge ball. Gym mirrors are cruel.

- I have lots of jewelry to make this weekend, and I need to start already. I also have a few pieces that I'll finally put up for sale either here or on Etsy - I'm thinking somebody may want the "Fuck It" pendant that I can't sell via the museum gift shop.

- I've finished Not Less Than Gods, and have just started Hundred Thousand Kingdoms. Yay for good books to read!
