Merry and Bright
Dec. 24th, 2008 04:39 pmYesterday was spent trying to kick my brain out of anticipatory holiday lockdown. I got enough done so that I don't feel guilty, but beyond that, I'd best maintain a judicious silence.
Afterwards, Bemo and I went to Circuit City. His mom sent us a gift from there that honestly, we had no real use for, so we toddled off, returned it, and got a gift card for the amount. But after pacing through the store for about an hour and finding nothing that we wanted that was affordable (the gift card wasn't going to stretch, say, to a giant flat-screen tv, a laptop, or a deluxe game system) we left, skulking out as bad consumers must. Honestly, the thing that sparked the most interest from me was a Bissel steam cleaner, followed by a vaccuum-cleaner that was designed especially for pet hair.
Today, Bemo had to work, so I slept in blissfully late and have been puttering around on the computer, eating cream of mushroom soup with cheese toast, and reading Rape of Europa, about Nazi art looting. Tonight, I anticipate Chinese food with Bemo and more lying around. And then some Yuletide reading, I think.
Bliss.
