Cat Flop Fever
Sep. 13th, 2005 11:50 amLittle White Cat is still ailing - conversations with Persia, who owned her first, have indicated that this isn't an allergy, but rather an apparent relapse of a mysterious fever she had when a younger kitten. She was much sicker during that previous event, and was refusing food and vomiting (neither of which she is doing now), but the vet wasn't able to determine exactly what caused it. Fever of Unknown Origin is what they said, and Fever of Unknown Origin is what she appears to have now. We've been pouring water down her (much to her irritation) and making sure she eats (which she's been doing), but it's been long enough with no improvement, so she goes to the vet tomorrow.
I am a confirmed Fed Ex person now, baybee. DHL finally managed to get Bemo's check delivered, but only after they were phoned three times and yelled at, because they seemed to think that they had an incomplete address, except it was, in fact, a complete and correct address. When they finally showed up, they handed Bemo his package - as well as the package of somebody else. Bemo had to chase the guy and return it. I would have been tempted to keep the damn thing as an early Christmas present and call it a day.
The scarf progresses, although I've had to fight impatience about finishing it since I regard it as a learner project and not something that will be used (although it will be sturdy enough and, if I say so myself, attractive enough to be worn). I think the real story is that I want to go to the yarn store and frolic amongst the fiber.
