But it's not the taste that I blame

Thanks for everyone's good-wishes for the Dexter-fuzz. I hauled him out from underneath the console radio this morning (and very sullen he was) and gave him his morning feed and fluids, and had a cheerful spirit knowing that it was actually really working.
Long weekend coming up. Huzzah. I need the sleep. Warmer weather tends to put me in a strange insomnia-esque state - well, not insomnia, exactly, but I'll suddenly start sleeping much more lightly. And then I get grumpy, because it feels like the world is out to keep me from sleeping well. Damn you, sunshine and noisy birds! Go to hell, cat jumping on my head! Curse you, neighbor with the loud car! So I've been feeling a little deprived of my beauty rest recently, and will seek to remedy that, in between the farmer's market and a co-worker's wedding reception and maybe going to the horse races.
And so it goes. Our month of once-a-week jazz concerts out on our museum's lawn start soon, so there will be much sitting in the sun (I volunteer to get the free t-shirt!) and cheerful noise and bustle. And frybread from one of the food vendors, yum.
