All manner of things
Jan. 27th, 2012 04:17 pmInstead of gently moaning about how I have nothing of substance to talk about, I will sum up using handy bullet points
-In two weeks I'll be testing for my fifth-level belt (second orange). Ulp. I am so rusty.
-My lovely intern who has worked very diligently on a super-boring and labor-intensive project for me is departing, so we gave her a gift certificate to the museum shop and she brought us some Korean walnut cake (shaped like little walnuts, with an actual walnut half and red bean curd inside! So good!). I will miss her very cheerful presence in the office.
-Tonight, our museum will be hosting a Tet Festival celebration, and I will be helping to run the Fish Crab Prawn game. Candy will be handed out liberally.
-My sister is now in possession of a borrowed scanner, and hopes to be making some inroads in the piles of family slides that are sitting at my mom's house. I am jealous, because for some reason I really enjoy the process of scanning slides. Makes me feel like I'm proactively preserving something important.
-Rereading for the umpth time Jennifer Crusie's Fast Women.
