Wildlife

On our trip to Lawrence, Kansas yesterday (group of us went to the Spencer on the University of Kansas campus) we drove through some pretty country. And as we were in the Kickapoo Reservation, I looked to my right, and saw a big bald eagle hoisting a fish out of a lake. Very cool.

Lawrence is a very nice little college town, and the UK campus is huge and sprawling and interesting. I don't know if it's worth a day trip in and of itself (it's three and a half hours away) but I wouldn't mind spending some time there pottering around.
