Just like in the movies

Going to have one of those potentially very horrible holidays that they like to make movies about, where the audience can squirm in their chairs at all the horrible family dynamics and emotional ambushes. Hope to get out of it with all my skin still attached.

Feh and blah. Probably the best part of it all will be the 12 hours in the car, in either direction.
