End radio silence

Been busy over the last few days with guests - Bemo's mom and her guy came to visit so we toured them around all the local sights (not forgetting the awesome fried chicken at Lee's). Mostly we just hung out with them and chatted and it was a really nice get-together. However, having guests, even if they're in a hotel, is really tiring. Bemo and I are both wiped.

Went to a concert of early music, featuring a vocal group, an early music consort, and a guest lute player (who is also a paintings conservator we use). They did a range of Dowland and Byrd songs, Robert Jones, Pierre Attaignant, Thoinot Arbeau, and a few others, some instrumental, some vocal, some combined. Lovely, lovely stuff.

The little furball is still having to be forcefed, but we were happy to see him poop yesterday (much of this weekend has also been occupied with hoping that he'd make a deposit) which hopefully means his body is starting to function as it's supposed to. But until he's eating on his own, we still have to wrestle with him to get a syringe of food down his gullet as often as possible. It's a dirty, frustrating task, and he hates us all with a fierce feline passion.

Castle was awesome last night.

I still need to go see Star Trek.

I'm craving some new stamps...I need some alphabets.
