Snippety-snip (card-making wittery)
Nov. 23rd, 2008 05:12 pmI'm continuing to work on my Christmas cards, although I have a stamp set on order that will help me create the second group of cards I plan to make. The cards from the first group are all being done in tones of silver, blues, and grey, with more star/snowflake motifs, and the second set will be more of the red-and-green type with Christmas trees. It's funny how I was really happy with the first two cards I made and then made one that I thought was ok but not as great, and now have made one that I'm pondering just counting as a failure and throwing away. This despite the fact that I'm trying to keep the cards in the same family; not identical, but close. You'd think by the fourth card I'd have figured out what works, but apparently I'm still trying to pin down what I like.
Anyway, it's ridiculous to get so excited about ink and paper, but there it is. This crap is so entertaining. And I'm decoupaging another box as well, just because. It's star-shaped, which is posing some interesting challenges.
