This is why I wish I had my own place, with a little bit of gardening room so I could experiment a bit-
Plant Sale on East Campus Saturday, Aug 23
A plant sale will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 23 at the NSA
greenhouse. Sale plants include native trees, shrubs, perennials and grasses and many plants for an edible
landscape: serviceberry, hazelnut, currant, pecan, persimmon.
There's an eight page list of plants they're selling, most of which, not being a gardener, I have no idea what they look like (although the list does have care and feeding, and a brief description). But oh, the names! Wild white indigo and dwarf blue indigo, poppymallows, lobelias, dotted gayfeathers and Eureka gayfeathers, purple beebalm, Mongolian Skies skullcap, buttonbush, common witchhazel, pawpaw, so many varieties of oak, lemonlace vine, and riverbank grape.
