According to the letter I got in the mail, it looks like we're getting the full IRS incentive dealie. I mentioned earlier that I was a bit worried about whether or not we'd get it, for a couple of reasons. And then when it wasn't direct deposited according to the IRS schedule, I really figured it was a forlorn hope. Because I didn't receive a refund by direct deposit (I owed nine bucks, and paid electronically, but apparently that doesn't count) we're getting the money via a mailed check, which should be here next week.

Hurrah! I'm finally going to get my digital camera. (I know I've asked before, but if you have one you love in the $200 price range, let me know. And is it better to get one that runs on AA's or on a rechargable lithium? The one I loved best was rechargable, but it was also a more spendy camera that probably would have gobbled AA's like Skittles. The rest of the money will go to pay off my Lane Bryant credit card (which I will then close), maybe make a big payment on a credit card, and then the rest will go into the savings pot for a down payment.

And Bemo and I took an evening walk over to the Sunken Gardens yesterday, and it was all pretty in the twilight. There were lilacs hanging off a gazebo and their scent was so nice, plus there were heaps of dark purple and pale purple tulips in one section, and dark purple and white ruffly tulips in another. It was splendiferous.

Mr. Stark is simply a bit, shall we say, eccentric. )
