The second half of the day went better than the first, with some resolutions to some of the problems and a prescription for antibiotics and Darvocet for Bemo's aching tooth. He'll end up getting his root canal done at the university's health clinic rather than the place he found at first, where they wanted payment upfront with the potential of reimbursement to follow - when you're talking about something in the range of a thousand dollars, it was just not going to happen. I was contemplating a pair of pliers, but it seems like we won't have to resort to that.

So we watched Munich and enjoyed it very much (although it's about twenty minutes too long, I think) and ate the remains of the seven layer dip from the potluck (another person showed up with one! So I got some leftovers - bonus. Mine had black olives, the other didn't, and the other one had guacamole and there were a few avocado-loathers in the crowd so both dips had their individual adherents).
