twist the knife
Feb. 27th, 2006 08:20 amI was so proud of myself, getting my taxes done last night, and sent off to the IRS via e-file, but this morning there was a little message saying that the IRS had found a problem that needed to be fixed. So I have to go back and see what the problem is, and I hope to heck it's not something major, because I really, really don't want to have to go bang my head against it.
The majority of the weekend was spent over at Persia and Prep Lad's, where the food is good, the cats are sociable, and the sofa is comfortable. Saturday, we celebrated a friend's 40th birthday with pasta and cake and Napoleon Dynamite(which I hadn't had a chance to see before, and which I enjoyed muchly). Sunday, we were supposed to go with them to purchase some gear for Special K and then to see her second horseback riding lesson (since I will never turn down anything involving horses, ever). The lesson was canceled, but we still made it out to Clifton Saddlery and picked up some jods, a helmet, and really cute boots for her, and also played with the little Bichon running around like a four-legged dandelion fluff. After that, Special K did her best to get me addicted to Zoo Tycoon, what with all the beavers and zebras and elephants, and then Prep Lad did his best to get me addicted to Caesar III, what with all the chariots and aqueducts and fighting against the Gauls.
