why deny the obvious child?
Dec. 2nd, 2005 07:42 pmTo explain my woeful previous post: remember the old saying about how of course family knows how to push your buttons, because they installed them? Earlier today, a button that I didn't even know I *had* got pushed, resulting in a day spent trying (and occasionally failing) to stem a slow pour of tears. It was one of those situations where, if my brain had been permitted to function, I would have seen it was a much smaller matter than all the fuss warranted, but my brain never even got a chance to get a few good licks in. Right to the gut, blammo, and then lots of dabbing at my face with a tissue which resulted in very sore eyes.
Anyway, it's all over, although I'm still feeling fragile and sniffly. I took a long hot shower, and I'll probably go to bed early, and things will be better tomorrow.
