Sweet to the taste

My sister and I have spent the day perpetrating chocolate cake. Two cakes, to be exact - a Guiness chocolate cake, where the beer gives an interesting undertone to the chocolate, and a Cherry Chocolate Chip cake with buttercream frosting that rocks my universe. Both cakes turned out very nicely, and we're going to share some with Persia and Prep Lad tonight. Yum.

Homemade cake is definitely worth the (minimal) effort it takes to make them.
