I don't even follow baseball
Oct. 22nd, 2004 08:51 ambut I've been keeping an eye on the Red Sox thing. My husband unilaterally hates all NY teams, so he was happy to see the Yankees fail to make the World Series. But if I was rooting for a team in the WS, it wouldn't be the Sox. My dad was born in a town about an hour out of St. Louis, and as I've only been to two baseball games in my life and one of those games was a Cardinals game, I feel some sort of nebulous impulse to cheer for them. Dad was a sort-of Cardinals fan, by which I mean he watched the games and rooted for them, but it wasn't anything diehard, and consequently I never really picked up the baseball bug. I am, however, a football fan, thanks to my husband. Not that the Redskins are worth cheering recently, but anyway...
