Back, bleary, and muscle-sore from 18 hours straight of various forms of transportation. I'll have a ton of photos, but I think my download cord for the camera is on my desk at work and I am most emphatically not at work right now. Between the trip to Chartes and to the Museum of the Middle Ages (housed in a Gothic-era building built over the remains of a Roman bath) the trip has been a medieval-sculpture-fest. You can take a wild guess at what most of my photographs are of. Kate, be prepared for happiness *g*

Ok, there's also an ill-advised, jet-lag induced series of self-portraits taken at four am. I think it was right after I found the German hardcore gay porn on my free cable.

Er, not that the self-portraits have anything to do with porn. They're mostly of me making faces at the camera.

This trip was supposed to be about shopping, and it was to a small extent, but in reality it became more about Big Churches. And one small one. And giving money to beggars on behalf of St. James. And petting dogs in the mist-shrouded Tulleries at eight in the morning.

Oh, and a runaway horse. No lie.
