Red the leaf and red the sky

I took this photo in mid-September, just after a storm had passed through. The sky was an unusual color and I thought it looked interesting with the red of the leaves.

Beautiful. What kind of camera do you have?

Just a little Nikon Coolpix S210. I'd love to have an awesome camera with all the bells and whistles, but until I take a photography class or two, I can't justify it.

Thankfully, every once in a while I get lucky *g*

Oooh, Nebraska sky. More please!

Okeydoke!

Speaking of Nebraska sky, we have an exhibit up of Keith Jacobshagen, who paints these gorgeous landscapes of Nebraska/the Midwest, where the sky just dominates the entire canvas. Really lovely.

Yeah, I thought I would miss my East Coast-style autumn, and I sort of did, but Nebraska autumns have some interesting sky effects happening that were very pretty to see.
