Party assistance

I'm going to be having a small holiday party and I'm nervous, so any surefire party treats, drinks, or tips for helping a miscellaneous bunch of people socialize will be much appreciated.

I find that a punch bowl never fails to delight. No one expects to be served punch at a party nowadays. Yet, punch is really easy to make. Punch with a chunk of dry ice in the bottom of the bowl is a source of neverending hilarity, and thus a great conversation-starter. (But then again, my friends all have the mentality of nine year-olds.) I also never throw a party without homemade Chex Mix.

Oooh, steaming punch. That's a great idea. Where does one usually find dry ice?

I think liquor stores usually have dry ice. Pretty sure. A toilet bowl? *thumbs up* I love that!
