Have finally watched White Collar and loved it, even more so than Burn Notice, which I enjoy but don't go out of my way to partake of.
Am wondering about the fact that apparently being interested in what Dollhouse is doing makes me a horrible, self-loathing woman.
Am I a horrible person for not being revolted in the right way by it? Because I am revoted, but in an interested way.
Am startled by hearing my beloved Poe's music playing over a Food Network advert for Iron Chef - startled but oddly pleased she's probably getting a nice paycheck from it.
Had a lovely time at my museum's Dia de los Muertos celebration, and got to see our director, in a skull mask and hood, dancing with a very lovely Frieda Kahlo to mariachi music.
Have learned a trick about mixing candy corn and salted peanuts, so that when you eat a handful it tastes like a Salted Nut Roll. V. tasty and addictive.
New cat has completed his first week of test-driving. He's fitting into the family pretty well, although there are still hissing confrontations. I think he's a keeper, as he and my husband have bonded over long naps on the sofa. He likes me well enough, but mostly as an ambulatory pair of thumbs to turn on the bathtub faucet so he can play in the stream of water.
Have other things both good and bad that I can't talk about now. Maybe later.
Prospect of 50% discounted Halloween candy v. appealing at the moment, despite all the candy corn I've ingested which should, by rights, be making me ill.
Read Julie & Julia (still haven't seen the movie) and enjoyed it as a good, light read.
Have misplaced my "good" pair of iPod earphones and am using the ones that only have volume through the left earpiece and are very beaten up.
