Perhaps I should look on the bright side
Today has actually been very fun. It's office potluck/white elephant/movie in the auditorium day, and there has been feasting and champagne and merriment. I am the proud owner of a half-pint of apple pie preserves, said to be very good over english muffins. I have chocolate of various sorts. I have a scarf my boss made me, which is very fetching, and which came in an adorable little bag that I can apparently track on a website (www.wrapsacks.com). I also have a hat, which I traded for in the white elephant in exchange for a bag full of knitting supplies (most of which I own already) and a truly ugly length of upholstery fabric from the 1970s.
Tomorrow is a regular work day, and then it's vacation until the fifth of January, which I am very excited about. There will be napping a'plenty going on then, I can tell you what.
